Karma Wins.
Everyone Gets Knocked Down. It's How you get Back Up that Matters.
Her name started with a little bit of sass.
Meet Karma
Karma Wins is a chestnut Thoroughbred with plenty of personality, determination, and opinions of her own. Her name came from a story that, like most good stories, started long before anyone knew where it would lead. But somewhere along the way, Karma Wins became more than the name of a racehorse.
It became a reminder that everyone gets knocked down. Careers change. Plans fall apart. Dreams take unexpected turns. What matters is what you do next. You get back up. You keep going. And eventually, Karma wins.
HOW KARMA GOT HER NAME It started with a little chestnut filly in a pasture. I had been going through a difficult chapter in my life, one of those times when you wonder whether life ever really finds its way back toward balance. My husband and I went to visit our friend Kathy Begley at her farm, and there she was, a little chestnut filly standing with her mother, In Speight of Sara. Kathy looked at me and asked, “Do you want to name this filly?” I didn’t have to think about it...“Karma.” Kathy immediately answered...“Wins.” And just like that, Karma Wins had her name.At the time, we had no idea how much those two words would eventually mean. Later, Kathy asked if I wanted to become part owner of Karma. We became 50/50 partners, two women stepping into something new together, believing in this little filly and the possibilities ahead of her. But Karma Wins became more than the name of a racehorse. She became a reminder that being knocked down doesn’t get to write the ending. Being underestimated doesn’t get to write it. Neither do the detours, disappointments or moments when life doesn’t go according to plan. The comeback does. Karma’s story is still being written. So is ours. And that is what Karma Wins is really about. Everybody gets knocked down. It’s how you get back up that matters.
THE STORY ISN’T OVER. GET BACK UP. KEEP GOING. LET KARMA DO THE REST.
